A quick rant regarding the lack of (working) OpenGL support on the newest Droid phone from Motorola.
Droid versus the iPhone. Droid takes second: “it [Droid] is definitely the second best phone on the market”.

“Everything DroidDoes.com uShouldn’t on a Microsite”
New Media Campaigns discusses the failings of Verizon’s Droid marketing campaign including their micro website. For starters: As far as microsites and marketing landing pages go, DroidDoes.com is out of this world bad. Google should be embarrassed of how their Android Experience phone is being marketed. Not only is DroidDoes.com 100% flash but the flash itself isn’t being indexed by Google, the content behind the flash is embarrasingly bad (pictured below), and you can’t link to features you’ve navigated to within the microsite. You can read more about the marketing fail at their site

TechCrunch Provides A Healthy Dose of Droid Reality
TC (actually MobileCrunch) is reporting that there is a lack of Android games due to the limitations of the Android platform. They state that the limitation is the lack of memory alloted for app storage which is only 256 megs. Seeing that Myst is 727 megs there is no way some games can be stored on an Android phone let alone played.
iDoes? More like iDoesNot.
Facebook Ignores the Droid
Techcrunch writes:
“Facebook has dedicated exactly zero resources to creating a version of the service for Android, and has no plans to launch anything at all.”
Go figure. That is one way for Facebook to express themselves regarding the Droid phone.
Scoble says Android is a lousy ripoff of the iPhone, and doesn’t think it’ll go anywhere. Did Google screw up?
